This wiki was started to replace the Matlab FAQ that was previously available on the Mathworks website. The new FAQ is available at FAQ.

Feel free to contribute to the FAQ page - but please read the comments at the bottom before making any changes to the overall structure of the page. One of the reasons for having this FAQ is to ensure that references to the original FAQ on CSSM (the Matlab newsgroup) are still meaningful and useful. This means that not only should the content be equivalent, but the structure of the FAQ page should be the same too. For now, anyway.

Also, feel free to start new pages if you have other Matlab-related information that might be helpful for other people.

This wiki was not originally intended to be a place to ask specific question about a project or assignment you're working on - it is for general, frequently asked questions. Other internet communities already exist for seeking answers to specific questions. CSSM, the Matlab newsgroup, is a great place to start: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/newsreader/ . It can also be accessed through Google groups or any other newsgroup reader.
